The online service guides clients through the process and ensures sufficient information is provided before allowing form submission. After completing the online updates, clients receive electronic status notifications and can also track the processing status electronically.
Processing speed has been greatly improved. If accurate and complete information is provided, updates are processed immediately or within two business days.
Since December 2011, all new Saskatchewan residents have been able to apply for a health card online. Approximately 17,000 people have benefited from the service. Now, residents can update and submit the majority of their health card-related requests online. These enhancements demonstrate the government’s commitment to improving public access to services.
Accurate registration information is essential to ensure proper processing of health claims. Failure to keep registration information current may result in the suspension of health benefits.
