The Barakah Nuclear Energy plant is located in the Al Dhafra region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, approximately 53 kilometres West-Southwest of the city of Ruwais.
One of the world’s largest single-site solar power plants, Noor Abu Dhabi began commercial operations in April 2019. Located at Sweihan, Abu Dhabi, it covers an area of 8 square kilometres and features 3.2 million solar panels. The plant produces approximately 1 gigawatt (AC) of power.

The greenfield Waste-to-Energy Independent Power Project is a collaboration with Tadweer to divert waste away from landfills.

EWEC has the key task of planning and preparing the long-term demand forecasts for water and electricity in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and beyond, using robust analytical models and in-depth analysis.
EWEC develops long-term water and electricity purchase agreements with water and electricity production companies and establishes bulk supply tariff sales agreements with distribution companies.
EWEC enables the optimisation of cost whilst also providing the increased energy security that comes from a larger and more integrated system.
